Torremomz, en el tema del cuidado físico, siempre tratamos de que nuestro aspecto sea impecable, pero sobre todo buscamos que nuestro cabello luzca sano y fuerte.

Aunque a veces necesitamos de algún instrumento de calor, para darle ese volumen o aspecto diferente…  ¡Y para mí, es super importe este paso! Porque con tan solo plancharlo o ondularlo, tu look cambia por completo.

Por eso hoy quiero compartirte información valiosa acerca de como protegerlo y productos que 100% valen la pena.

¿Qué son los protectores térmicos?

Como su nombre lo aclara, dicho producto protege del calor. Su función es parecida a la de los protectores solares, que sirven como una barrera de defensa. Al aplicarlo, se convierte en un escudo que recubre la cutícula, es decir, la superficie del pelo.  En este sentido, hace más lenta la conducción de calor y lo reparte de modo uniforme. En otras palabras, la melena no se calentará rápido, sino poco a poco. Al disminuir el impacto térmico, las secuelas serán menores.

  • Aerosol: es el indicado si acostumbras a lavar tu pelo con frecuencia.
  • Crema o loción: ideal para dar un toque de brillo y es muy fácil de aplicar.
  • Aceite: creado a partir de aceites naturales que proveen hidratación.
  • Silicona: esta clase fue creada en los años 1970. Lo cierto es que la sustancia no tiene color ni olor y su apariencia es aceitosa.

¿Cuándo se recomienda usarlo?

Los estilistas profesionales aconsejan usar el protector térmico con el cabello limpio. Luego, te peinas suavemente con un peine de dientes anchos (olvida los de metal), a fin de terminar de distribuir el producto. El momento correcto es cuando el cabello esté un poco húmedo.

Ahora bien, si lo prefieres en aerosol, rocíalo con generosidad, a unos 20 o 30 centímetros de distancia de la cabellera. Frente a las lociones o cremas, lo más adecuado es untar un poco en la mano para esparcir.

Efectos y beneficios del protector térmico para el cabello

El protector térmico suele ser muy efectivo. Sin embargo, es importante que verifiques el nivel máximo de temperatura que es capaz de combatir. Para esto, lee la etiqueta del envase. Vale la pena aclarar que, si bien es muy bueno, esto no significa que sea mágico. Imagina que te aplicas protector solar y te expones al sol prolongadamente. Las secuelas serán menores, pero es imposible evitar todos los daños. Lo mismo sucede con el protector capilar.

Los resultados dependerán de la calidad del protector, del modo y frecuencia de uso, así como del nivel de calor al que te sometas en tu vida cotidiana.

  • Ayuda a reparar los daños previos y devuelve la elasticidad.
  • Previene la resequedad y la aspereza, ya que impide la pérdida de queratina.
  • Mantiene la humedad natural presente en la corteza interna de cada hebra.
  • Conserva el cabello fuerte, evitando que se rompa o que las puntas se abran.
  • Facilita el alisado y bloquea el frizz, gracias al propilenglicol y el pantenol.

¿Cómo usar protector térmico correctamente?

  • Cuando salgas de bañarte, seca la melena con toalla y rocía el protector térmico.
  • Deja que el pelo termine de secarse al aire libre o con secadora.
  • Desliza o aplica las herramientas de calor por secciones y estiliza.
  • Cuando el pelo esté frío, pasa los dedos de raíces a puntas para distribuir los productos y los aceites naturales (o cepilla).
